Supay is a high-end Bolivian craft liqueur, made with Punta de Lanza chili pepper from the town of Padilla, the birthplace of chili in Bolivia. Its unique recipe combines dehydrated Andean fruits such as golden berry, fig, and mocochinchi, along with native herbs, high-altitude coffee, and criollo cacao. The result: a sensory explosion of spice, sweetness, acidity, and herbal notes.
Inspired by Andean cosmovision, its name pays tribute to the god of fire and the underworld, reflecting its mystical and powerful character.
Perfect for:
Ideal for curious palates seeking authentic experiences and flavours with soul.
Color: Sunset orange.
Nose: Locoto and ulupica chili bring a spicy character from the first sniff, over a base of cinnamon and caramel. Raisin and sultana add concentrated dried-fruit sweetness, while dehydrated, caramelized orange peel contributes a citrus-toasted note. Toasted walnut closes the nose with depth and body.
Palate: An intense, direct attack, with ulupica delivering immediate heat that’s softened by the sweetness up front. Cinnamon reappears on the retronasal finish, and the spice sits in balance with the rest rather than dominating it. Acerola adds a tart, fruity close that refreshes the palate.
Style note: A spicy, spiced aperitivo with strong Andean character — good on the rocks or as a base for bold cocktails.
